Tell Me About Your Own Hometown ?
Heiii hallooo to all of you how’s life there ? i hope you
all have a good day, so today i’m going to tell you a little bit about my
hometown. And it is my first time writting an article or should i say essay ?
so it’s totally messed up at first but hopefully i can do it ! yeayy , but
sorry if there’s any miss spelling words or wrong grammar. I hope you can take a look at it and enjoy
it, as well.
My Lovely hometown i s in Purwokerto. A town, which is located near
the base of Mount Slamet, the second-tallest volcano in central java.
It is a sleepy town in the central Java
province of Indonesia. Also, it is a major transportation hub in Java,
connecting other major cities, such as Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta,
Surabaya, and Cirebon.
I Love to go to my hometown because there’s a
lot of beutiful places and the environment is so comfortable. I own a small
house in there, it surrounded by a rice field and a small road.
But, It is hard to go to other places around
my place because the lack of roads and it’s quite far from the downtown, but
stilll i don’t want to just sit at home and not do anything.
Therefore, i travelled around to the popular
tourist attractions. Purwokerto famous for several amazing nature features.
First, it is noted for “Amazon-like” waterfalls in Baturaden, which is very amazing
and beautiful. When i first go there i did not expect to be greeted by an
“Amazon-like” waterfalls, even it took me a bit of an effort to get to but
definitely worth it. You will stand at the moment in awe of the tall and
powerful waterfall dropping into the contrastingly serene lake while sorounded
around by rainforest canopies.
Also, on the other side of
the town is Kalibacin hot-water bath,
located in 17 km south Purwokerto in Tambaknegara Village Rawalo districts,
Banyumas. This hot-water bath is not only for tourism, but also for treatment
sites. Because of the high sulfur level it is believed can cure various
diseases of the skin, nerves, and arthritis. Not only do treatment in here, you
can also traveled down Serayu River towards the banyumas old town area using
boat services run by “Mercusi Arung Serayu”. Facilities around here is already
quite complete. There is also provided lodging around here.
The third amazing feature is
Wana Wisata, located about 2 km from Baturaden. Here you will be satisfied with
the forest filled with shade tree that provide a cool athmosphere, there’ also
a campground capable of accommodating 1000 tents. These three landmarks are
truly amazing and sure is a good place to hang out with family members.
But not only known for the
famous tourist attraction, Purwokerto As
many indonesia region, has its own delicious and exotic food. The following dishes
should be on everyone’s agenda :
v Gudeg,
a curry of jackfruit, chicken and egg served with rice, and is the most famous
local dish. The most famous gudeg seller is in front of Pasar Manis, Jalan
Gatot Subroto.
v Mendoan,
is local food in Purwokerto, from a very slim Tempe ( Food from a fermented soy
bean, very famous food in java) and covered by dough of wheat flour. Although
many places selling Mendoan, the best Mendoan only served in the village. Even
though Mendoan sold at city is considerable tasty.
v Sate
Kambing, Sate Kambing in Purwokerto Area (Banyumas, Sokaraja, Purbalingga) is
also famous for very tender young Goat. One of the best is Sate Tiga Saudara.
v Soto
(Chicken Soup), in the Purwokerto itself, many famous chicken soup restourant
vastly available. The famous string of small chicken soup resto are in Jalan
Bank ( Currently called Jalan R.A Wiraatmaja) called “Soto Jalan Bank”.
v Cimplung
, is a very special food from boiled cassava and dipped to sauce of melted
brown sugar.
v Gethuk
Goreng Sukoraja, gethuk is the specialty snack food that looks like small balls
with very sweet taste, sold mainly in Sukoraja village southeast of Purwokerto.
There’s still alot of traditional food but sadly i don’t know the rest of it. Last but not list, My Hometown is the second best place in my list after my lovely house in jakarta. So that’s all that i can say about my hometown. Sorry for all wrong typed words , wrong grammar, and lack of photos because tbh i rarely take pictures if i was in there. I’m not a professional writter and i had a bad score in grammar. I hope that after you read this article you can get to know Purwokerto better than you know it before and can plan your trip there also !
